Guide Rutland Flyfishing was born out of a simple idea: bringing straight forward, accessible and affordable guiding to the UK fly fishing community. Our unique approach to guiding and targeting of big specimen fish makes Guide Rutland Flyfishing one of the most exciting options in the East Midlands. We invite you to join us for an exciting day on the water. Owned and managed by Graham Hayward - England Youth Flyfishing Captain and 5 year team member as well as renowned Rutland Water master. Graham has guided all over the UK and internationally in the Seychelles.

Giant Trevally or Monster Browns?
Since I was a teenager I have always wanted to catch a bonefish. Last year I had the good fortune to spend 2 weeks in Alphonse, Seychelles.
Wonderful place , heaven on earth.
Whilst there, I was lucky enough to be guided by Graham....I think its fair to say he knows a thing or two about fishing!
With an infectious enthusiasm for all things piscatorial, and the enviable knack of being in the right place at the right time, you will go a long way to find better company in a boat.
Rutland , six months later and I being guided by Graham again. I mostly fish rivers, but was drawn to the lake after hearing the stories about massive browns from the top of the water . I have to say it was a pleasure to learn the finer arts of still water fishing, to improve my casting and also to catch my PB brown trout.
I would recommend Graham to anyone who is interested in a great days fishing/tuition and who knows maybe you will catch your PB as well?
Learn to Fly Fish
We run Learn to Fly Fish courses throughout the year. Perfect for the novice angler these courses cover fly casting, fishing techniques, gear and equipment, fly choice and all the basic skills to get you started.
Course prices are normally £60 per person within a group of 2-6 anglers and run over 4 hour sessions. Guide Rutland Flyfishing Learn to Fly Fish courses are the perfect way to equip you with the skills and confidence to start your fly fishing journey.
