Taster Boat session
This 4 hour session is designed to give you a fast, action packed introduction to fly fishing to find out if fly fishing is for you! This is a boat based session looking to maximize your chances of catching a fish. These sessions will look into casting techniques as well as the fishing skills themselves. All tackle will be provided although if you would like to bring any along you are more than welcome. These sessions are £140 per person or £199 for two people including fishing/boat costs.The session will run for 4 hours.
Learn to Fly Fish Course
This course is designed to teach you the basics of fly fishing in a fun and friendly environment. The aim of the session is to get you from a complete novice or someone with little experience to a point where you could comfortably have a session on the bank with confidence and the prospect of catching a fish or two. During the four hour session we will cover tackle, setting up, fishing techniques, casting and finish the session with some time on the bank to try and catch a fish. These sessions run from 10 am. to 2 pm. within groups of up to 6 people. The cost of the session is £60 per person including fishing costs and tackle.
Tuition
These sessions run for an hour and aim to work on small sections of your fly fishing armory from casting to fishing techniques. Short tuition sessions can be booked in to fit around you whether it is an early morning session or an evening after work. These sessions are £25 and only available at Rutland Water. On the water bank sessions will require a £10 fishing license which can be arranged from the fishing lodge.
